Susan Carol Long (Flick), 72, of Painesville, Ohio died on May 17, 2021 of pancreatic cancer.
She was born in Edmonds Washington on March 15, 1949 to Joseph Henry and Tora Marie Long. She was a member of the Madison Kingdom Hall and a Jehovah’s Witness. She graduated from Brilliant High School in 1967. After high school, Susan worked at Mildred’s Florist Shop in Brilliant, OH & Sam’s Snack Shop in Steubenville OH. She attended dental hygiene school. She drove a school bus to Broadmoor and Deepwood Schools for People with Developmental Disabilities.
Recently, she worked as a freelance housekeeping contractor. She lived in northeastern Ohio, the Ohio Valley region, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. She was a loving sister, mother and aunt. She gave everything to those she loved the most. Susan loved animals, nature and the outdoors. She was loved by many and will be sadly missed.
Susan is predeceased by her parents Joseph and Tora Long, and her son Daniel Barton Flick. She is survived by her daughter Rebekah Flick (Eric) Dussing, her siblings Anna (Rudy) Puskarich, Barbara (Edward) DeCesare, David (Martha) Long, Beverly (Robert) Panepucci, as well as many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held in his hometown of Smithfield Ohio at the Smithfield Fire Department on June 3 at 4 p.m.
